REVIEW: 2010 Equuleus

Tuesday, February 11
Remy Charet

The 2010 Equuleus is born from a hot vintage, but it is still a cool-climate wine. There is ripe fruit and restraint, pleasant tannin and a nice touch of freshness on the finish. There's plum and a bit of blackberry, a nice pinch of spice and a light touch of tobacco leaf. Entering its fourth year, it's falling into place nicely, but should develop nicely over several years to come. Well-balanced, it doesn't have to shout to be heard.
